When intractable pain from a disc compression injury threatened Daniel Williams' ability to support his family, he sought medical attention. Doctors explained that the degenerated disc in Daniel's spine were putting pressure on his nerves causing pain.
Disappointed by the prohibitive nature of available medical solutions, Daniel, a CNC machinist/programmer by trade and creative problem solver by nature, set out with his wife Sarah, to create a device that would give him relief and still allow him to work.
Daniel and Sarah have developed a traction device that uses the underarm and hip/waist as leverage points and a lightweight adjustable rod to stretch the space between them.

Daniel's work requires extensive freedom of motion. The Williams' patented spring and pin design overcomes the rigidity on which many portable traction devices depend for lift.

This unique design flexes and pivots in sync with the thorax allowing unencumbered motion.
Finally, its streamlined design can be worn under a lose-fitting shirt allowing the wearer discrete relief from disc compression pain.
